Insurance Windshield Claims: How $0 Replacement Works

Did you know a cracked windshield could be covered without you paying a dime out of pocket? Here's exactly how it works.

Free windshield replacement: $0 deductible with comprehensive coverage

If you carry comprehensive (full) coverage, windshield replacement is typically covered with a $0 deductible. That's why we can say "Your Windshield Replaced for FREE." The one requirement is that you carry qualifying comprehensive coverage.

Florida drivers: Florida law generally waives the comprehensive deductible for windshield replacement (Fla. Stat. § 627.7288). Arizona drivers: many Arizona policies offer optional full glass coverage. Either way, we confirm your exact coverage with your insurer on the call before anything is scheduled.

How it works, in 3 steps

  1. Tell us about the damage

Call, text or book online with your vehicle info and insurance company. A photo helps.

  2. We call your insurer with you

A quick three-way call, usually under 10 minutes, to confirm coverage and open the claim.

  3. We install and bill insurance

We replace your glass at home or work, calibrate ADAS, and handle the claim with your insurer.

We work with all major insurance providers

Including GEICO, USAA and Bristol West. We handle Bristol West's photo inspection requirement for you. Don't see your insurer? We almost certainly work with them too. Just ask.

What to have ready

  • Your insurance company name (and policy number if handy)
  • Vehicle year, make and model (VIN is even better)
  • When and how the damage happened
  • A photo of the damage (optional, but it helps)

Insurance FAQ

Is windshield replacement really free with insurance?

FREE windshield replacement means a $0 deductible, and you must carry comprehensive (full) coverage. If your policy qualifies, most customers pay nothing out of pocket. We confirm it with your insurer before scheduling.

How does the insurance call work?

We call your insurance company together. You confirm your identity and policy, we give them the vehicle and damage details, and the claim is opened. It usually takes less than 10 minutes. After that, we handle the claim.

Which insurance companies do you work with?

We work with all major insurance providers, including GEICO, USAA and Bristol West.

My insurer is Bristol West and they want a photo inspection. Can you help?

Yes. We handle Bristol West photo inspections for you as part of the claim process.

Can I choose Trinity Auto Glass as my glass shop?

Yes. Tell your insurer you'd like Trinity Auto Glass to do the work. Support local and choose us as your preferred auto glass shop! We'll be on the call with you.

Will a glass claim raise my insurance rates?

That depends on your insurer and policy, so it's best to hear it straight from them. Ask during our call and you'll get the answer directly from your insurance company.

Is side or back glass free too?

Side and back glass damage is often covered under comprehensive, but your deductible may apply depending on your policy. We'll check with your insurer before scheduling.

What if I don't have comprehensive coverage?

Call or text us at (954) 998-8915. We'll talk through your options and be upfront about the cost before any work is scheduled.
